What is a HOME Clinic?
The HOME Clinic (Home Owners Mobile Education Clinic) is a community service program of the Housing Opportunities Collaborative (HOC), a coalition of nonprofit organizations and housing agencies in the San Diego region, to assist and educate homeowners and homebuyers in their housing needs. It is a one-stop center for various counseling services, held at community locations and jointly sponsored by local nonprofit agencies. Among the services offered are: individual counseling from a HUD approved housing counseling agency, review of real estate documents from a mortgage counselor and personal counseling from volunteer attorneys.
What is a HOME Workshop?
The HOME Workshop is a 90 minute interactive presentation held on weekday evenings at locations within neighborhoods and communities. The HOME Workshop presentation is on current and needed topics like foreclosure prevention and process, homebuying process and available programs, bankruptcy, short sales, trustee sale, tenant rights, foreclosure and real esate fraud prevention. The HOME Workshop interactive presentations are made by experienced housing counselors, honest and knowledgeable real estate professionals and attorneys, and offcials of government agencies like HUD.
